Amaya Arzuaga Fall 2001 
Amaya Arzuaga is a rising star and just keeps on rising! First, she  treated us with her innovative knitwear. Then, she showed that she can do magnificent work with leather. This season, she presented a collection that is softly structured and feminine, proving that she can work with almost any material, from natural fibers to synthetics. 

Knits that hugs the waist and show a woman's curves, sexy leather  mini-skirts and trousers, sequins and beadings for evening wear  and fur coats made up the Fall 2001 collection. 

The Amaya Arzuaga woman is  young or young-at-heart,  self-assured and confident, contemporary and strong. In an  interview with the London Daily Telegraph, Amaya Arzuaga quoted, (For Fall 2001) "I want women to feel strong, but sexy also. Clothes for a woman should
be something special, but at the same time, something you can actually wear and be comfo

The designer's Fall 2001 collection is a great example why Amaya Arzuaga's creations are sold in 36 countries and over 600 shops. 
 

Amaya Arzuaga is well known for her knitwear designs. With her Spring 2001 collection, leather can easily be added to her  resume. A mix of 1940s glamour and 1980s decadent styles, Amaya's collection range  from asymmetric cuts to  geometrical prints, stripes and loud prints. Pantone®
 will be proud - fluorescent  pinks and greens are  intermixed with beige, black and silver. 

High-weights trousers of fresh wool for summer and  chunky knit skirts are  paired with no shoulder
 tops and jackets. 

Born and raised in Spain, Amaya Arzuaga's parents are in the clothing business. Her mother, Maria Luisa Navarro owns the  knitwear label Elipse  while her father  Florentino produces the  label Tinto Florentino.  In short, Amaya is  genetically pre-disposed to be a fashion designer! 

 Starting her company in 1994, it was  rise for Amaya Arzuaga.
 In six years, her creations are sold in 30  countries and 600 shops. She won the 1996 Spanish Designer  of the Year and the prestigious Telva Award   in 1998. In 1997, she made her debut for a scheduled runway show  at London Fashion Week and her star is still rising!
