Alexandra Lind Fashions
Alexandra Lind is a native New York and grew up in Manhattan. She started making clothes for herself when she was 16. She could not find something she liked at the stores and decided to make one for herself. It was such a success, that people started  noticing her own creations and they started ordering from her.

Her clothes are structural and tailored, yet sexy, mixing it with  provacative cut-outs, making her clothes young and stylish and a favorite of the uptown crowd.  In 1999, she received the Spring 2000 Moet & Chandon Designer  Debut Award, showing her collection at New York Fashion Week.

Ford Fashion Focus Fall 2001Alexandra Lind: Lind designs a ten pound upholstery Juliet gown with a bustle, supported by spaghetti straps wrapped in colored wire. She transforms the automobile's tubing into straps of a tank made from upholstery with a matching upholstery skirt that is soft  and feminine. The recipient of the 2000 Moet & Chandon  Designer Debut Award, Lind loves beautiful and luxurious fabrics, transforming them into evening gowns, cocktail suits and party dresses.
 Spring 2000
Moet & Chandon has long been involved in the hospitality end of Fashion Week and every season, they sponsor new designers to launch their first collection. For Spring 2000, the group show by Moet & Chandon featured Alexandra Lind, Gregory Parkinson and The Wrights.

Alexandra Lind’s collection was the sexiest and the strongest I  thought. Everything looked fluid and flowed along on the strappiest gold sandals with strings tied up the calves. I loved the dresses with open window panels like the white ziballine open  sided strapless cocktail dress. I want to try one on and see how it looks on an ordinary body,  albeit with the hipbones on view - a very sexy concept! These  dresses yelled Millennium when I wasn’t even thinking it. They  were cool and sophisticated but not too space age. Sure, you’d  need to be slim to wear them, but wear them you could.
